Job description/Key Responsibilities:

A Senior HFM Consultant in our Hyperion Practice will be responsible for leading and delivering HFM Solutions for our clients. This role requires deep technical expertise to build application metadata, web forms, and rules. This role also entails working with teams to elicit requirements from clients, design applications, complete requirement/design documentation, and conduct end user training. Individuals in this role are expected to be able to work effectively and resourcefully both independently and with their team to exceed our clients’ expectations.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with financial processes such as planning, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial consolidations
  • 5+ years of systems background and experience in one or more of the following software tools: Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Enterprise, Hyperion Financial Reports, Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management

Required Technical Skills:

  • Must have designed and built 3-5 full cycle HFM projects, including implementations, upgrades, and/or migrations
  • Must have performed as project lead for at least one full-cycle HFM implementation following a defined System Development Lifecycle approach
  • Experience with both Classic and EPMA methods of metadata management is highly preferred
  • Ability to write HFM rules files, develop data grids, financial reports, and utilize SmartView for Excel and Word
  • Ability to configure Hyperion FDM/FDMEE
  • Must be able to articulate the consolidation process in HFM
  • Oracle Hyperion certifications in Hyperion Financial Management highly preferred
  • College Degree or industry equivalent experience

  • Ability to articulate financial close concepts and describe the components of standard financial statements and key calculations
  • Ability to articulate intercompany accounting and currency translation processes
  • Ability to engage clients in thoughtful dialog to elicit requirements
  • Ability to break down abstract concepts into components
  • Ability to creatively and resourcefully problem-solve both independently and with a team
  • Ability to effectively communicate with executive-level clients, including demonstrating presentation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills with business users to gather requirements and conduct training
  • Ability to articulate the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Comfortable independently executing project tasks and balancing time across multiple projects when required
  • Ability to articulate key project management concepts
  • Ability to lead the work of others
  • Ability to travel, up to 100% but typically 30% over the course of a year
  • Has available resources and demeanor to telecommute effectively
